For my birthday… one of my best friends sent me an edible arrangement of chocolate dipped strawberries! I’m practically finished with my box so I got the pic from the website
. YUMM! Everything tastes great with chocolate!
So
I have no excuse to keep from writing. I am now a proud member of iPhone nation!! And now with the wordpress app, I can post on my commute to work.
So first things first, work is in full affect. I am so busy with my students that i do not have much time for other things. But, I gotta make time for the things i love.
My latest foodie penpal experience was AMAZING- cant wait to blog about it.
More pictures and updates to come.

… to admit that I’ve neglected my blog. Usually, after my birthday, I start work and become completely consumed with getting everything together that I run out of time to do what I love (bad habit). I owe you a Foodie Penpals reveal, updates of becoming vegetarian, and some great recipes and restaurants I’ve tried. Stay tuned… all posts should be up by Saturday.
Thanks for understanding!
So,
My birthday week is officially over (because I said so) and I have done my share of eating and drinking to celebrate. Overindulging is just one of my favorite pastimes; I’m not always proud of it, but I love to celebrate life with with good eats
.
Besides great food at some of my favorite restaurants (Mango Habanero Wings from Buffalo Wild Wings and Mexican Burger from StripBurger in Las Vegas), I have had the opportunity to enjoy some great cocktails.
My fav was the Habanero Lime Margarita from The Elephant Bar in Burbank, California.
I love spicy food and this drink was very flavorful with a hint of spice at the end of each sip. Delicious.
Another fav was the Watermelon Mojito (to the far right) from StripBurger in Las Vegas, NV. The drink wasn’t on the menu but our waitress recommended it to us. It was sweet, STRONG, and refreshing with fresh watermelon chopped in it. The perfect drink for a hot summer’s day in Las Vegas… (it was 108 degrees). Other drink featured in the picture: Jack and Coke and “Hypnotize”– Hynotic, Coconut Rum, Pinapple Juice
Now that my birthday celebrations are over, I’m getting back on track with my journey to becoming semi-vegetarian and living a healthy lifestyle. More updates to come.

Giving chocolate to others is an intimate form of communication, a sharing of deep, dark secrets
This blog is called all things chocolate for a reason. I love Chocolate. My favorite chocolate treats are
Ferrero Rocher candies.
Over the years I have figured out ways to incorporate this candy into my favorite desserts. I make ferrero rocher milkshakes, crunch them up on top of cake… my fav is crunching them up and mixing it with french vanilla ice cream. YUMMMM!!
Though I try to refrain from eating too much sugar or eating one or two or three a day, I try and treat myself every once in a while with a three pack from my local food store.
What’s your favorite chocolate?
So excited that today is my 26th birthday. I’m going to my favorite restaurant for dinner and Vegas for the weekend…
Will post pictures and restaurant reviews next week.

This week is DineLA here in California. Get more information about DineLA here. My husband and I have done DineLA a few times but this was I first time trying a different restaurant. We usually would go to Ocean Avenue Seafood Bar and Grill in Santa Monica; they have the BEST Banana Cream Pie, Clam Chowder, and Swordfish entree.
This time we went to Cafe Bizou Grill in Santa Monica. Overall, I give my experience a B-. Click on the Good Eats Page for more details.
I encourage every LA resident to participate in DineLA. They offer prix-fix three course meals for dinner and lunch. The price is amazing and the food often is amazing too.
Have you ever been to DineLA?
